In a previous life I worked for a pharmaceutical and then biotechnology company as a project manager. I then began to write training products for project management. It was a natural extension to produce a project management website.

Once I had done this the next logical step was to create other management training websites.

The information they contain is both useful for business interests and particular lifestyle areas such as leadership and improvements in time management. I try to make information simple to understand with a minimum of jargon.

Project management

This site covers project management in a generic manner and covers many topics just not included in some project management methods. It covers planning, milestones, objectives,  scope,  control, estimating, assumptions and constraints, problem statements, mission statements, identifying strategy, deliverables, work breakdown structure (wbs), plan types, dependencies, PERT, critical path management (cpm), cost terminology, the project manager, report writing, manual methods, resource levelling, popular project management systems, quality function deployment and more.

 

Prince2 2005

This site covers everything you want to know about PRINCE2 2005 from the official guides.

It covers definition, terminology, the processes - Starting up a Project (SU), Initiating a Project (IP), Directing a Project (DP), Controlling a Stage (CS), Managing Product Delivery (MP),

Managing Stage Boundaries (SB), Closing a Project (CP) and Planning (PL). The components – Business case, Management of risk, Quality in a project environment, Configuration management Change control, Organisation, Plans and Controls. Prince2 2009

This site covers everything you want to know about PRINCE2 2009 from the official guides.

PRINCE2 2009 updates PRINCE2 2005 and covers the principles, the themes - business case, organisation, quality, plans, risk, change and progress.
